Yamaha Crux receives facelift treatment

Most of the motorbike companies are strengthening their stand in the rural market by launching new models or facelifts of older model. Recently, Bajaj launched Boxer 150, dubbed as ‘Bharat Bike’ aimed at the rural market.

Rural markets cannot be neglected by any company looking for volumes, and Yamaha comes under that list too. Currently, Crux and YBR 110 are the bestselling bikes in the Tier II and Tier III cities. Yamaha has gone ahead and given a minor face-lift to the Crux. It’s powered by a 106cc 4-stroke SOHC, 2-valve engine, and at a price point of 33,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), it’s the cheapest bike from Yamaha stable in India.

The engine on Crux is just a downsized version of 123.7cc engine which is commissioned on YBX. The bike will come with 4-speed transmission. The facelift as said mentioned before is a minor one, and the changes include a new multi reflector head-lamp and an all-new sticker job. Coming to the classic question of fuel efficiency, Crux manages to give 60 kmpl.

Yamaha, how about a half faired bike aimed at rural youth?
