TVS Apache RTR 2012 series launched

We had posted spy pictures of the new Apache earlier. TVS Motors have now officially launched their 2012 version of Apache RTR series. The company calls this as ‘Beast themed styling’ where it has undergone only cosmetic makeover. This makeover will be made available to the entire Apache RTR series which includes RTR 160, RTR 180 and RTR 180 ABS version.

We have taken the Apache RTR to the next level with obsessive engineering and menacing design. The priority in every step of the Apache brand’s development has been race bred performance. Every system, detail and component has been tuned to maximize performance. Apache as a brand has been very well received,” H S Goindi, President-Marketing, TVS Motor Company said.

Most noticeable changes made to this bike include, new headlamp with pilot lamps using LED light guide technology. Fuel tank and air scoop have been redesigned, which according to the company gives more aerodynamic look to the bike. With the changes made in design, the company claims that the bike will deliver improved performance due to better heat dissipation.

Other changes include, new instrument console with muscular styling and faux carbon fiber inserts. The new aggressive seating cowls and sharp styling of the engine cowl gives bike a racing breed look.

Complete changes have been made in terms of paint job, where it comes with two tone color scheme and splash theme paint.
TVS Apache RTR 160 comes in four different colors – green, red, yellow and grey with black as the base color and price tag of Rs. 67,505 (Ex-showroom Delhi). TVS Apache RTR 180 will also be available in four colors namely white, yellow, grey and black with a price tag of Rs. 72,090 (Ex-showroom Delhi) while the ABS version will be made available in white and black which will cost Rs. 82,780 (Ex-showroom Delhi).
