Triumph Motorcycles models for India

We had previously reported about Triumph Motorcycles making Indian debut, but we didn’t have any information on which models would make to India. Triumph Motorcycles have finally decided to bring in seven of its high-flying bikes to India and they are:

• The Triumph Bonneville
• The Triumph Speed Triple
• The Triumph Street Triple
• The Triumph Tiger 800XC
• The Triumph Daytona 675
• The Triumph Storm, and
• The Triumph Rocket III

All the models will be imported as Completely Knocked Down (CKD) form and the duty savings will be passed on to customers in order to make their offerings more attractive. Triumph Motorcycles will make their Indian debut by showcasing their lineup at the Auto Expo 2012, Delhi.

“We deliberated over the range of bikes to bring into India and decided to bring in these models to showcase the Triumph range. We have bikes which can cater to different needs – from 675cc Super Sport bike the Daytona 675 to 2300 cc Rocket III. The Indian market offers good potential and as a company, we are confident that each of our seven models within its individual category will be a trailblazer in very short time; similar to other markets we are present in.” said Hashish Joshi, MD, Triumph Motorcycles India.

We hope the bikes are priced reasonably as the market for higher displacement vehicles is growing and we would definitely like to have a healthy market where buyers have choice.
