Bajaj Pulsar 200NS launch next week

A lot has been already said about the new Pulsar 200NS. We’ve already seen some dealerships receiving display bikes, so the launch is pretty close. How close? Well, as close as next week!

The news was confirmed by Rajiv Bajaj yesterday on the television channel, CNBC. The MD of Bajaj Auto revealed that the bike in question will be launched next week in the state of Maharashtra, however, the bike will be made available all India by July 2012.

In the phased launch effort, the company will be producing 2500 units in the month of June, and will ramp up the production after taking a look at customer feedback. Bajaj Auto expects the demand to be in the range of 10,000 to 15,000 units per month after 3 months of launch. Exports will start in August, so buyers from Philippines, Nigeria, Honduras, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will have to wait at least until September to lay hands on the Pulsar 200NS.

We’ll know the pricing next week, and if the pricing which grapevine suggested, that’s Rs. 90,000 ex-showroom, is true, other companies will be going through hell of a nightmare. Also, just in case you wanted to know, none of the current models from the Pulsar range will be discontinued.
