Pulsar 2012 finally unveiled

The day when the all new Next-Gen Pulsar unveils has come.  We have got our hands on few images of the next-gen Pulsar. In order to celebrate the success of 10 years of Pulsar in the Indian market, Bajaj Auto had plans to come up with next-gen Pulsar and they did it today. This is really a dream come true for many Bajaj fans. The pictures have been revealed much before the official release of the bike.

The bike is said to be powered by SOHC – 4 Valve Liquid Cooled, Triple Spark engine producing 23 BHP @9500 rpm and 18.3 Nm Torque @8000 rpm. A 6 speed gearbox takes care of the transmission. The engine will breathe through a carburetor and will have a kerb weight of 145 Kg. Braking department is taken care by 280mm petal disc with floating caliper at the front and 230mm petal disc with floating caliper at the rear.  Taking a look at bore and stroke figures, we can say that Bajaj has indeed taken a lot of inspiration from the recently launched KTM Duke 200. The bike will feature an under-body exhaust, just like the one seen on KTM Duke 200. Bajaj claims the mileage of Pulsar 200NS to be 58km @ 55kmph while the bike can attain a maximum land speed of 136kmph.


The bike is designed uniquely and looks nothing like an Indian bike, a great move by the Bajaj Auto indeed. We expect the price tag to be Rs. 90,000 which will bring technology to masses. We will publish further information as soon as we get our hands on it, so stay tuned and enjoy the pictures.
