Official: YZF R15 version 2.0 to be debuted on 6th September

We’ve been tracking the next-generation Yamaha R15 since the first spy picture made its way to the internet. Yamaha R15 is the indeed one of the best bikes in India, mostly because of its top notch handling capabilities. The price tag is not exactly economical, but hey, it’s been one of the best sellers in the performance segment.

Yamaha India has been silent about any developments on the R15, but frequent spy pictures were made available on the web and finally, Yamaha has broken its silence. Yes, you heard it right. The next-generation R15, or like Yamaha would like call it as YZF R15 version 2.0, is now official and will be debuted on 6th September.

The company says that the new R15 is redesigned to change people’s perception of style and design forever. When it comes to design, the bike seems to have taken a lot of inspiration from Yamaha’s R6 and looks very elegant indeed.

No updates on price point, but as rumors suggest, the bike will be showcased with a price tag will be Rs.10,000 cheaper than the present generation R15, owing to heavy localization of the manufacturing process, which may be one of the reasons why Yamaha waited so long before debuting the bike.
