Bajaj plus KTM equals to some super quality bikes. This is one equation that bikers should never ever forget. The partnership together has two bikes to its credit and working out to bring more because they have got the hang of happiness that comes with success.
Their partnership is considered the most fruitful one. Both their products, Duke 200 and Duke 390, made people run to showrooms to book one for them. The company has not only produced excellent quality bike for Indians, but also priced them reasonably so that customers can afford them.
Earlier, owning a bike like a KTM Duke was considered prestigious, but of late the entire biking scenario has changed with manufacturers coming up with good affordable bikes. With every new bike, KTM is setting the bar higher for other manufacturers. With Duke 390 launched at a shocking price tag of INR 1.8 lakhs ex-showroom, bikers started believing that there could be nothing better than this offer on Earth. This bike has everything that a power hungry biker needs in his bike, but the only thing the company missed out on is the fairing.
Fairing is considered an important USP for bikes in India. KTM did not feel it necessary to add fairing to its Duke series, but it surely doesn’t want to miss it out in their new product. Though the fairing that new KTM is going to sport is going to be functional or non-functional is something that is not yet confirmed.
Now there are some blank faces with questions like is KTM coming up with a new bike with fairing? To answer them, yes, Bajaj in an official press release has confirmed a while back that the launch of an “RC8 inspired and Moto 3 racing bike inspired, small displacement super sports bike” in India. Now what the news is that KTM is going to launch this new bike by early 2014, may be during the initial first months of 2014.
The new bike may be called RC2, as the bike will be a 250cc monster, inspired completely by the design theme of RC8. As we know KTM, this product will also be a global product. RC25 is going to be the first fully faired small displacement motorcycle that KTM is producing. Are you booking Duke 390 right away or waiting for RC25? Do let us know through your comments.
