KTM 200 has been quite a success. Now Bajaj Auto and KTM Power Sports are now busy developing an all new motorcycle at the Bajaj’s R&D facility in Pune. Previously, KTM had officially told us that they’ll be launching a 350cc+ motorcycle sometime in near future.
This motorcycle will be powered by a 375cc twin-cylinder engine, which when launched will also be the only ‘made in India’ twin-cylinder bike engine under production. Judging by KTM’s track record, the engine should be good for 40BHP of power. When the Pulsar 200 NS was unveiled, Rajiv Bajaj had talked about possibility of a bigger Pulsar next year, and most probably it’ll be benefited by the undergoing R&D.
We had previously written about possibility of Honda launching CBR400R in India, sometime in next year. Even Yamaha is rumored to develop a 400cc engine for R4. Keeping KTM’s aggressive pricing strategy in mind, all we can say is 2013 is going to be exiting, so the wait game begins.
