Hyosung GT250R launched in India @ 2.75 lacs

We’ve been waiting for official launch of Hyosung GT250R in India for quite a while now, and now the bike all set to blaze the Indian market. Hyosung-DSK have finalized the price tag at Rs. 2.75 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Packed with looks, technology and unique features befitting motorcycles of far higher segments, the GT 250R looks very similar to its bigger sibling, the Hyosung GT650R. The bike has V twin-cylinder, oil-cooled 4-stroke engine at heart. The engine is able to produce 27.6 Bhp of power @ 10000 rpm, and 22.07Nm of maximum torque @ 8000 rpm, while reaching top speed of 140 kmph. Some of the notable features include Double Disk Front Brakes, twin projector headlamps, upside down forks, EFI and the adjustable rear seats. The price tag is bit on the higher side, and comparing to the Honda CBR250R, the 1 lakh premium doesn’t really justify why one should go for GT250R, however, DSK is projecting sales of as many as 3000 units for the first year. The bike will be made available in Silver & red, Black & red and white & red.

If DSK sticks to its plan of getting the Hyosung brand to tier 2 cities in order to increase dealerships to 35-40 and setting up a manufacturing plant in order to bring higher degree of localization, thus saving on the import duty, which will bring down the price tag of GT250R by as much as Rs. 1Lac, Hyosung GT250R can be a great hit, owing to its big bike look and feel.
