Husqvarna Nuda 900R to be launched
BMW Motorrad is planning to bring bikes from Husqvarna, the Italian brand which it acquired back in 2007, to the Indian shore. Husqvarna primarily specializes in off-road bikes, but are currently also into street bikes.
After acquisition, BMW decided to keep the operations at Husqvarna the way it was before the acquisition and hence the motorcycles still continue to be manufactured in Italy. BMW plans Husqvarna Nuda 900R as its first offering for India. The Nuda 900R can produce 105 PS of power and 100 Nm of torque while weighing just 175kgs, giving it demoniac power:weight.
The bikes will be imported as Completely Built Units (CBUs), like the BMW Motorrad bikes, and apparently BMW has no plans to assemble any bikes locally in the near future. The bike will be sold through BMW’s current dealers in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. Price tag for Husqvarna Nuda 900R is expected to be somewhere in the vicinity of Rs. 14 lakhs.
