Honda CRF250L may hit the markets soon

We had previously written about Honda CRF250L making to the Indian shores, and seems like Honda is actually planning to launch the CRF250L over here as many of the major automobile publications are creating a buzz about the same.

It’s easy to speculate the launch of Honda CRF250L as it shares the same platform as that of Honda CBR250R. The engine is exactly the same as that on CBR250R, but in a different state of tune, where in which the power output will be 23 bhp and maximum torque will be 22 Nm, as opposed to CBR250R’s engine producing maximum power of 25 bhp and maximum torque of 23 Nm. CRF250L will also return better fuel efficiency of 44.3 Km/l at a constant 60 speed, which should translate to about 30-35 Km/l in real conditions.

Honda NXR 150 BROS was recently launched in India by Hero as Hero Impulse. Off road bike segment in India is still in its infancy and there’s a lot of possibility to expand. Impulse attracted lot of criticism for not having enough power, and Honda CRF250L is expected to bridge the gap and kill Hero Impulse’s sales. We can also expect KTM to surprise us by launching a dual-purpose bike, for it’s a dirt bike brand first.
