Hero MotoCorp to reveal its new avatar on August 9th
Hero Honda had decided to rebrand them as Hero Motocorp, after parting from their partner, Honda. They’ve received all the required approvals and are all set to reveal their new brand identity on August 9th.
Hero wants the event to be an international event and will be unveiling their new avatar in London, UK. This event will also debut themselves in the international biking arena. According to the company, this event will be a significant first step towards the company’s transition into a major global brand.
Wolff Olins will be taking care of this rebranding exercise. The company would work on the architecture and positioning of the new brand in totality. Law & Kenneth (L&K) will be the creative partner.
Even thought Hero & Honda are not in a joint venture anymore, Honda will be providing technological support to Hero until 2014 for which Hero will have to pay royalty on every bike manufactured and a lump sum of Rs.2450 crore.
