Hero MotoCorp launches Ignitor

Hero MotoCorp had earlier showcased Ignitor, an executive commuter bike. The Ignitor, is very similar to Honda Stunner, in fact it’s essentially a re-badged Honda Stunner. Hero has finally launched the bike at Rs. 58,638 (ex-showroom Mumbai).
Ignitor will be available in two variants, one with drum brakes and the other with front disc brake setup. Alloy wheels and electronic start will be available as standard on both the variants. The disc brake equipped Ignitor will retail with a price tag of INR 60,740 (ex-showroom Mumbai).
The bike packs the same engine as that on the Stunner, and the power figure remains unchanged at 11 PS, however, Hero MotoCorp has tuned the engine for more torque at lower RPM, and the peak torque output of 11 Nm comes at 1500rpm lower than that on Honda’s variant, which makes Hero’s product more rideable in the city.
Ignitor also returns better fuel efficiency than the Stunner, and provided that there’s no shortage of spare parts at Hero’s service center, it makes sense to choose Ignitor over Stunner. The bike will be available with four color options- Pearl White, Sports Red, Vibrant Blue and Panther Black Metallic.
