Hero Honda products re-badged

If you are aware of the Indian biking scene, you would know that Hero and Honda have split up, where in which Hero Honda was rebranded to Hero MotoCorp Ltd. But, what most of them are not aware is that the official agreement between the two will end in the year 2014.

Prior to conclusion of the official agreement, Hero Motocorp Ltd. has to rebrand the name of previously launched bikes. This is essential because names like CB, CD and PGM Fi are trademarks to which HMSI holds exclusive rights.

In the recently held Auto Expo, Hero had showcased their lineup, where CBZ Xtreme was rebranded as Xtreme, CD Dawn and CD Deluxe to HF Dawn/Deluxe and Karizma ZMR’s PGM Fi as Fi.

If you take a close look at the two images, you will have a clear idea of what we meant. Also, the firm has removed the ‘Honda’ name from the bikes.
