Bajaj’s “Bharat Bike” soft launched

We had previously posted about the re-launch of Bajaj Boxer, dubbed as “Bharat Bike”, targeting rural customers. Bajaj has finally soft launched the new Boxer 150.

The bike will be powered by a 150cc engine, which is tuned for pulling multiple adults and lots of load. The bike is more of a tractor/tank on 2wheels because of lot of torque the engine produces. The engine is borrowed from Discover 150, though it may not feature Bajaj’s DTSI and twin spark plug technology. Nevertheless, it’s a very good deal at the speculated price point of Rs.40,000.

The move of launching this rugged bike targeting rural customers is a very good progress for a company which is running after volumes. Currently, the segment is captured by Hero Honda Splendor/CD Deluxe. Recently, Bajaj has been concentrating more on quality which is quite evident from the recently launched Pulsar 135, and going on these lines, we hope the product proves to be a reliable product.
