After unveiling the Pulsar 200NS in January 2012, the company didn’t provide any concrete launch date. It’s the month of April now and there are no signs of the Pulsar 200NS. Some dealers have started taking orders unofficially, but that’s about it. Well, the reason behind the delay is that Bajaj Auto is busy ironing out small issues and conducting some revisions in the process.
The Pulsar 200NS which Bajaj let auto-journalists ride back in January was just a prototype. A couple of revisions have been made to the prototype since then and the production version will be rolling out of assembly line soon. Notable improvement has been done in the illumination department by including a 55 watt headlamp bulb, as opposed to prototype’s 35 watt bulb. The rear mudguard will now undergo matte black treatment, instead of the glossy finish on the prototype. Other changes include tweaks done to the instrument cluster lights for improved day-light legibility. Tyre does make a lot of difference when it comes to performance and considering this, Bajaj will offer buyers with option to choose between MRF and TVS rubbers for their ride.
The Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS is the most anticipated motorcycle in India this year. Delays in the launch only means that Bajaj is determined to deliver quality to its customers. A faired version of the bike is also on the cards. Pulsar 200NS will be up for production in the last week of April, so deliveries is speculated to commence from 2nd week of May onwards. The price tag is expected well below Rs. 1 Lac, setting a good value proposition example in the industry.
